I've just purchased and downloaded the sh404sef/JS compatibility plugin. I can't install it from the Joomla back end becaue it says - no xml file !!
Anyway, I've uploaded manually the front/back end components using FTP.
The plugin messed up my joomla installation. Some of the links doesn't work now and point to homepage. The other problem is that I get now lots of error messages: sh404SEF - missing language file for plugin com_community.
This is really strange guys that you sell your plugin for $20 but there is nowhere any manual how to install your plugin.

Hi Paul,

Sorry about that..lately we were very busy working on our new version of JsMusic..all you have to do is extract the archive downloaded to your joomla root..

If you still have trouble installing this..pm me..

Bodgan, I've unpacked it and sent it to server - that was a smallest problem however you should include the xml file as it isn't very complicated task.
My problem is that your plugin doesn't work on my joomla installation. It messed up the my whole sh404 link structure !!! Buying the plugin from you guys, I was expecting to get fully working product but it seems that it isn't the case. The worst thing is that your product was recommended by Jomsocial web page. Anyway, guys - I would like to get fully working plugin or just money refund.

First of all..sh404SEF plugins don`t install through joomla backend..you have to extract the files in your joomla root..

Second..you could just send us your link and let us look at your site..it might be your fault..

I can understand that that software isn't always perfect and can include some bugs but in this case your plugin doesn't do what it promise and what is worse - it brings serious risks for anybody trying to use it. It just mess up the whole Joomla installation and for this reason guys I don't think that you have enough knowledge to develop this kind of software. For this reason also I don't trust you and don't give you any access details to my server as it is very riskily for me. Anyway I feel very disappointed with offered by you product as it isn't related to this what I found in the advertising on your web page. I request therefore to refund me the $20 as this is my right as a consumer living in European Union and your responsibility as a seller having its business activity in Romania. If you refuse to refund me my money - I'll report this issue to the romanian Fair Trade Federation as your business practices are illegal in the European Union (no product documentation, offered product faulty).
Also I din't get any invoice from you, which is your responsibility by European law. You are obligated by law to provide me a VAT taxed invoice because you sell your product to the end customers.
Finally I reported the issue to JomSocial, sh404sef and Jomla developers and requested compatibility check of the offered by you plugin.

Hello Paul.

First of all:

1. The plugin was bought by over 70 members. Do you know how many of them requested refund or said to US that they're dissapointed with our products? 0. Can you ask yourself why, instead of accusing us?
2. The plugin you downloaded is only for the com_community component(JomSocial) and couldn't modify or remove any other files/components. I'm not responsible of your joomla changes/installations that are not related to our jomsocial sh404sef plugin. In order to uninstall the plugin, please go to /administrator/components/com_sh404sef/language/plugins and remove the com_community.php file. Also after that, go to componnets/com_sh404sef/meta_ext - and sef_ext , and remove the com_community.php file. After that go to sh404sef admin panel and press ,,Purge results". After that, your website should be fully working.
3. We are not giving out any refunds, unless WE don't know how to help you and the component/extension isn't working at all. If you don't give us any additional details/ FTP access, we are not able to help you in any way.

As you probably saw in other forum topics, we helped everybody, and you're not any exception

Edit: Also, every member receives an invoice in his e-mail after the payment.

I've uninstalled the plugin stright away of course and now the site is back to normality which doesn't solve the problem as you sold me "sometning", which isn't that what you advertise. I've ordered a fully functional and working product but this what you delivered to me isn't that what I paid for !!! That is the only reason why I want the money refund for this. If you don't want refund my money - by the law it is MONEY FRAUD !!! I would like also a taxable invoice from you as I want to use it for my tax purposes and also for court/evidence purposes too.
I need also your trading business address and hope it will be clear stated on your invoice.

ps. btw - you say that you sold 70 copies of the software - I'm just wondering how you do this without providing invoices ??? That, I think will be interesting for your national Inland Revenue.
Anyway I've made a screen shot of this thread and will use it for future proceedings

As I already told you, when you bought our plugin, there was a refund policy:
,,Once we have distributed a release version to a customer, the sale is final, and you may not return the software for a refund. " .

But, if we don't fix your issue, we'll give your money back. But, first of all, we can't give your money back if the product is working. We're very sorry, but if you don't let us give support, we are not able to help you. As other 70+ members, why can't you trust us? Nobody had the website crashed after any installation of our products, so if you have any problem you can request support using our forum or our contact form anytime, not requesting refund right after you bought it.

Also, regarding support: Can you tell me what jomsocial version are you using and what sh404sef version are you using? What kind of problems you had after copying the plugin? Have you tried to purge the results and wait for the new url's?


regarding the invoice...I just made a test order, got the invoice right after I pressed ,,checkout"
